Pomeranians are available in a remarkable variety of colors and patterns. The most popular shades—orange, orange sable, and cream—are highly sought after for their warm and inviting appeal.

While our primary focus is on the classic orange, orange sable, black, and cream, we also feature other striking colors such as blue, chocolate, lavender, including the impressive merle.

There is a rainbow of other colors available for those that desire more variation such as the beaver, brindle, white, wolf, and cream sables, as well as the unique parti Pomeranians that come in a variety of patterns where no two are exactly alike!

Breeding Choices: We prioritize balanced breeding between dogs with complementary temperaments to ensure the best traits.

Socialization: Our puppies are introduced to new situations, fostering their confidence and teaching them appropriate behaviors around people and other pets through positive experiences with diverse sights, sounds, and smells.

Training: Our puppies are equipped with the fundamentals, enabling them to learn effectively by taking gradual steps, being mindful of each puppy's experience, while fostering a positive learning environment.

What is the typical Pomeranian Temperament

Pomeranians are naturally vocal and possess strong-willful personalities, making early socialization essential for their development. These affectionate, playful, and adaptable dogs thrive in various home settings, getting along well with each other, children and cats. Known for their energetic and cheerful demeanor, they love to play and cuddle.

According to the AKC, the Pomeranian an extroverted breed, showcasing high intelligence and a lively spirit, which makes them excellent companions and competitive show dogs.

Breeding with Purpose for The Classic Pomeranian Temperment

At Laura’s Pomeranians, temperament is of paramount importance. Your family’s dog should have the “Classic” Pomeranian attitude and personality. We achieve this by:

Breeding Choices: We prioritize balanced breeding between dogs with complementary temperaments to ensure the best traits.

Socialization: All our puppies are gently exposed to new situations to learn confidence and appropriate behavior to people and other pets by being introduced slowly to new sights, sounds, and smells making the experience positive.

Training: Our puppies learn through positive interaction, taking baby steps weekly being mindful of our own reactions.

1 Week - puppies are completely dependent on their mother, if all goes well there is little interactions. Although, puppies are monitored daily for warmth, signs of distress and weight gain. Mom is providing the needs for the puppies. Mom is checked on for milk production and any signs of distress daily,
2 Weeks - Puppies should continue to be checked daily for weight gain through 4 weeks. Puppies should have doubled their weight by 2 weeks.
3 Weeks - Puppies should start to urinate on their own. Puppies vision is still developing, and they should be attempting to walk. Active learning begins at 3 weeks. Puppies can be introduced to soft food at 3-4 weeks old,
4 Weeks - Puppies are introduced to soft food. Mom may be nursing less and producing less milk. Intervening is important; to help puppies transition to food and start to switch to drinking water, Mom is still cleaning up after the puppies but may be doing less. Rearends are checked daily for compacting. Puppies may start leaving the box to urinates outside the sleeping area and may need help getting back into the box where it is warm. Handling puppies daily helps them get use to human contact. Puppies can hear and see and start seeing their world differently,
5 Weeks - Positive interaction, daily handling, grooming, touching toes, and nails clipped. Soft fresh food, and water, checking often that puppies are eating. Mom is starting to wean puppies.
6 Weeks - Positive interaction, daily handling, grooming, touching toes, and nails clipped. Introduction of small soft toys. Daily food intake monitoring.
7 Weeks - Positive interaction, daily handling, grooming, touching toes, and nails clipped. Soft fresh food, and water, checking often that puppies are eating. Puppy gym is introduced and balance board.
8 Weeks - Puppies are usually free stacking, showing bites and are full of energy. Puppies are weaned.
